I'm Jen Nichols, from Northeast Indiana. My husband, Rodney and I have been married for 22 years. I have an 15-year-old son, Ross. I am a 7th grade Science teacher, currently working on my 23nd year of teaching.
I started scrapping several years ago, when a co-worker invited me to a cropping party. I started out as a CM scrapper...but quickly started using contraband right away! For me, it was the artistic outlet I'd been searching for.
I scrap mostly in a 12” x 12” format, but I am comfortable using other sizes and media. I would describe my style as eclectic shabby with clean lines. I love bold photographs and I pay attention to details. I like my layouts to convey a warm and comfortable feeling.
My favorite products cover a wide range from Karen Foster Design to We Are Memory Keepers and I would have a hard time selecting a top 10. I love to use pattern papers and all types of alphabets. Sewing and mixing patterned papers are two of my preferred techniques to use on layouts.
I love it here at CX and hope to see you around in both the forums and the gallery! ... Read More
